Tim Mulloy

Current Position:

Tim Mulloy is the founder, chief executive officer and driving force behind Peritus Public Relations. His high-energy, no-nonsense approach to business has earned him the respect and trust of his clients and sets the tone for the work that we do.

Drawing on his background as a real estate developer, litigator, lobbyist, political consultant and entrepreneur, Tim has set out to build a different kind of public relations firm - one that goes beyond traditional tactics to get clear results for clients.

"We're problem solvers. We assess a situation and we figure out how to win," Tim says. "It's no different than trying a lawsuit or running a real estate deal. It's sitting down and saying, what's your issue and how can we solve it.'"

Before Peritus:
Politics has been in Tim's blood since birth. His father was active in Kentucky's political scene growing up, and the first campaign Tim headed up was his brother's 1984 congressional bid. He went on to provide strategic counsel to numerous successful campaigns in Kentucky, the South and the Midwest as well as a presidential campaign. All the while, Tim was working as a lawyer and building his reputation as a player in Louisville's real estate development industry, founding Mulloy Properties in 1989.

After years of successful lobbying and political ventures, Tim joined with Bob Gunnell to form The Commonwealth Group, a Kentucky lobbying firm. That firm evolved into Peritus, which moved away from lobbying into a wide range of strategic counseling and communications services.

Additional Information:
Tim graduated magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University and earned a J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law. A native of Louisville, he has long been active in the community. Tim serves on the board of Greater Louisville Inc., served on the original board of the city's African-American Heritage Center, chaired the downtown advocacy group Louisville Central Area, serves on the board of the Downtown Development Corporation and is currently President of the Louisville Apartment Association. He is also a longtime supporter of improvements to the Ursuline Campus and Lac Viet Academy.
