Peritus Public Relations invites you to tune in as our newest client, the Colon Cancer Prevention Project, presents “Catching a Killer,” on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 from 7 to 8 p.m. on WHAS-11.
Colon cancer is the #2 cancer killer in the United States, killing more people than HIV/AIDS and breast cancer combined. If caught early, it has a 90% treatable rate.
Hosted by Anchor Rachel Platt, “Catching A Killer,” will be a lively, informative, and inspiring hour with a simple, life-saving message; if you are over 50 years of age, you need to be screened for colon cancer. And because March has been designated nationally as Colon Cancer Awareness Month, the timing for this program couldn’t be better.
In addition to live interviews with local advocates and survivors, a phone bank staffed by physicians and nurses will give the viewers a chance to call in with their own questions concerning the prevention and treatment colon cancer.
