Current Position:

Doran Moreland joins Peritus as a Director in our Indianapolis office, using his strong grasp of public policy matters and vast community relations experiences to grow our client base across the region.  After enjoying a fulfilling career in public service, Doran brings his political know-how and unmatched work ethic to Peritus’ clients.  Doran focuses on new business development and managing our Indianapolis client base.

Before Peritus: 
Doran has a breadth of experience in the public sector, including serving as the Central Indiana Regional Director for United States Senator Evan Bayh.  In this role, Doran developed, coordinated and oversaw all Central Indiana public outreach and media events and connected federal policies and priorities in Washington with the needs of 26 Central Indiana counties.  In addition to his federal experience, Doran has worked on a local level in the Mayor’s office for the City of Indianapolis.  As a Special Assistant to the Mayor, Doran communicated logistics and key details regarding community events to mayor for all public events, followed-through on constituent concerns and led a 25 member advisory board of exceptional Indianapolis high school students.

Additional Information: 
Doran is a graduate of Indiana University. He is currently pursuing a Masters of Public Affairs at the IUPUI School of Public and Environmental Affairs.  Doran is heavily involved in the local community, serving as a board member for the Indianapolis Public Schools Foundation, a volunteer at the Horizon House and a mentor for high school students interested in civics and public policy through the Center for Leadership Development.
