Current Position:
Matt joined Peritus in the spring of 2006 and currently serves as an Account Representative managing public relations and creative services for a number of clients. His media know-how consistently scores results for clients – not surprising since he’s worked as a member of the press for a half-dozen years. In late 2007 Matt began representing PT Development and 2nd Street Entertainment.
Matt played an integral role in launching a national wireless service provider statewide in Kentucky. A successful media and public-awareness campaign has helped take Cricket Wireless from 0 subscribers to more than 40,000 in one year. When a client wanted to create public awareness for a waterfront development project, Matt worked behind the scenes to help plan and coordinate the company’s pre-sales unveiling event. He has also worked with the Global Automotive Conference, Jewish Family and Vocational Service, Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), Cricket Wireless and 21c Museum Hotel. In 2008 Matt was named one of the AdFed Hot 10, recognizing him as one of the most promising young professionals by the Advertising Federation of Louisville.
Before Peritus:
Matt’s background includes a wide-range of media experience, including television, Internet, radio and print. Before accepting his current position, Matt worked for Louisville’s NBC affiliate, WAVE-TV, and co-hosted radio shows on Louisville’s Clear Channel radio and ESPN radio. His writing has been featured nationally on the Rivals.com network and locally in the LEO.
Additional Information:
A native of Louisville, Matt attended St. Xavier High School before earning his degree from the University of Louisville. When he’s not in the office you can find Matt on the sidelines at Cardinal Stadium or Freedom Hall, reporting on University of Louisville athletics. For the past six years, he has been a featured columnist for the Louisville Sports Report, providing analysis and commentary for the weekly fan publication. Matt also writes features and game previews for the newspaper’s website and is a regular guest on the Cardinal Corner, a weekly radio call-in show.
