Current Position:
Kelly joined Peritus in the spring of 2006 and currently serves as an Account Representative managing public relations and creative services for five Marriott hotels in Louisville. She also oversees marketing and promotional needs for two feature restaurants, BLU Italian Mediterranean Grille and Champions Sports Bar and Grill at the Louisville Marriott Downtown. Late in the summer of 2007 Kelly became the lead Account Representative for Museum Plaza, RiverPark Place and Poe Companies. She dove in head first planning the October 25th groundbreaking for Museum Plaza donning a 20-ft shovel hanging from a 200-ft crane.
Kelly’s keen attention to detail and well-honed organizational skills ensure the job gets done right. She recently coordinated the production of a special eight-year retrospective publication highlighting the achievements of the University of Louisville Foundation. Over the past year with Peritus, she has played an integral role in planning events for several clients, including The Oliver Group, Cricket Wireless, CFA Society of Louisville and LEO Publications. In addition to her work with clients, she also handles the firm’s own public relations and marketing needs. In 2008 Kelly was named one of the AdFed Hot 10, recognizing her as one of the most promising young professionals by the Advertising Federation of Louisville.
Before Peritus:
There’s nothing like a bride on her wedding day to teach you the importance of getting things right. Kelly learned valuable lessons in the fast-paced, high-pressure world of event planning with her work at The Bauerhaus in Evansville, Ind., where she supervised more than 400 weddings, receptions and corporate events. She was also involved in the coordination of several Republican fundraisers for former President George H.W. Bush and retired General H. Norman Schwarzkopf, and handled media and publications writing for the Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana.
Additional Information:
Kelly is a graduate of the University of Southern Indiana where she majored in Public Relations and Advertising and was an active member in the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). She is currently a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and the Young Professionals Association of Louisville and serves on the event planning committee for Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana’s annual Desserts First event. Kelly also works closely with the Home of the Innocents.
